Sr. Marketing Technology Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned capability and product manager to transform how we execute marketing and enable sales by bringing new capabilities to our platform. This includes ensuring end-to-end, Microsoft can, drive demand thru marketing tactics (i.e. paid media, events), score and route the appropriate leads to sellers or Partners, enable sellers with actionable workflow and insights via CRM and ensure analytics and reporting are enabled. To achieve this, this role will be collaborating with key business stakeholders across sales and marketing to define a capability roadmap and work with sales or marketing operations and engineering teams to deliver new functionality. This is a mission-critical role with substantial scope, complexity, executive visibility, has a large opportunity for impact, and is central to our growth strategy.ResponsibilitiesPlanning
- Drives large-scale (e.g., features spanning multiple semesters) planning and provides solutions by seeking to identify key milestones, providing expertise into developing plans, and leading team discussions. Estimates and articulates business impacts and anticipates business outcomes associated with planning. Oversees planning documents and drives discussions to ensure action and execution, managing ambiguity and complex scenarios. Works across teams to provide status updates and drive progress and alignment across peer groups, and resolve conflicting priorities to overcome barriers. Discovers insights in data using exploratory techniques and brings insights into action-oriented information for senior (e.g., director, general manager [GM] level) business stakeholders. Identifies opportunities for solutions beyond direct responsibilities.
- May process documents (e.g., statements of work [SOWs], change orders), ensuring proof of execution and invoicing for contracts.
Project Management
- Tracks deliverables and timeliness. Identifies and resolves blockers to ensure implementation. Oversees governance to ensure any possible changes/issues are socialized prior to implementation. Develops processes across disciplines and enacts changes across teams.
- Orchestrates program deliverables and requirements across stakeholders. Develops and maintains relationships with senior stakeholders across the company. Manages and influences senior stakeholder expectations by providing robust communications plans, driving action, and aligning a broad set of stakeholders across teams. Leverages relationships to resolve complex stakeholder scenarios. Supports executive-level communications by contributing to creating and delivering communications to executive stakeholders. Communicates with stakeholders to provide clarity and transparency. Collaborates with peer stakeholder teams and senior stakeholders across the company.
Technology Management
- Gathers information on moderately complex product scenarios by researching and interviewing people about impacts of potential changes. Utilizes understanding of details gathered to align requests with Engineering colleagues and define requirements. Communicates inputs to engineers to inform size and scope. Develops and communicates business justification, estimating business impact to drive prioritization of resources and alignment with short- and long-term revenue objectives. Understands the competitive landscape.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years technology/process improvement experience.
- Domain knowledge of B2B marketing and sales or partner channel enablement.
- Experience with marketing automation (i.e. Adobe) and / or sales enablement (i.e. Dynamics 365) technologies.
- Experience using Azure DevOps to manage a backlog and project plan.
