Job Title:
Sr. Network Security Engineer -Remote
Role Overview:
As a Sr. Network Security Engineer, you will be part of Global Network Engineering and Security organization. This position will support network security objectives including but not limited to on-prem and cloud firewalls, web application firewalls and zero trust architecture. This position will report into the Manager of Network Engineering and Security.
This is a remote position in United States. We will only consider candidates currently in United States and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the role:
• Support existing on-prem and cloud-based firewalls with both tickets based and project-based work
• Work as a member of cross functional teams to produce secure technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on all Network Security issues
• Support load balancers in both the cloud and on-prem
• Support Web Application Firewalls in both cloud and on-prem
• Support both client based and site to site Virtual Private Network solutions
• Participate on an on-call rotation (approx. 1 week/mo.)
• Serve as escalation point for all network security issues.
About You:
• 8+ years' experience with Next Generation Firewalls (Forcepoint strongly preferred)
• 3+ years' experience with layer 7 load balancers (Avi strongly preferred)
• Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP routing, and network switching.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP troubleshooting techniques including decoding packet captures
• Strong customer service focus
• Experience working with distributed teams
• Previous experience with cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Understanding of Web Application Firewalls
• Previous experience with layer 7 load balancers
• Strong documentation skills
• Preferred: AWS or GCP certifications
