The Strategic Pricing Sr. Data Analyst for the NA RCO (North America Regional Commercial Organization) is responsible for data gathering, ETL, automation, and documentation to support Pricing Excellence. The Pricing Sr. Data Analyst will focus on tools, automation, and workflows to enable price improvement and execution. This individual will create value by optimizing pricing processes while enhancing the team's ability to measure, develop, deliver, and execute data driven pricing.
Specific Responsibilities:

The Pricing Sr. Data Analyst will focus on tools, automation, and workflows to enable price improvement and execution. This individual will create value by optimizing pricing processes while enhancing the team's ability to measure, develop, deliver, and execute data driven pricing.
Specific Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Pricing, this role will be responsible for data gathering, ETL, automation and documentation to support pricing guidance and strategy for Dentsply Sirona (DS), within its North American commercial organization. She or he will:
- Serve as the voice of Pricing and Data Steward in data governance conversations and initiatives
- Identify relevant external and internal data sources, tools, and gaps, assess integration requirements and acquisition needs.
- Use existing shared data architecture and resources to enhance and enable pricing team goals
- Create and maintain a Pricing Data Dictionary that documents price relevant data elements and relationships.
- Create, map, and manage datasets, data relationships, transformations, and formatting to enable pricing analysis and reporting
- Diagnose, document, and track data and systems access issues to resolution, partnering and escalating as needed.
- Own data used by the Pricing Team, providing thought leadership, insights, and guidance to teammates and partners as needed.
- Assess and certify Data Readiness as a critical success factor (CSF) for key Pricing initiatives.
- Monitor pricing intelligence, workflows, and processes to drive insights and strategies that increase profitability.
- Monitor trends in price policy compliance and performance. Track accountabilities and interpret trending and analyses to provide strategic and execution recommendations, amend guidance, etc.
- Maintain a view of competitive market activity, and customer trends, through collaboration with the Pricing Team and boundary partners
- Engage with commercial stakeholders to enhance a culture of data-driven rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement through a commitment to a data - analysis - trial - insight - re-trial - roll-out - refinement approach
Technical Responsibilities:
- Gather RCO requirements for pricing tool selection and deployment.
- Aid in the build and management of a channel and customer contract pricing database
- Automate and integrate process steps and manual tasks where possible to support Special Pricing Agreements (SPAs), Reports, approvals, notifications, and other tasks
- Document Pricing KPIs and Data elements to aid in business strategy planning
- Support price strategy development with data needed to measure KPIs, market conditions, and customer attributes
- Gather complex and challenging data from multiple sources to provide actionable and timely inputs into pricing models and decisions
- Monitor data quality and integrity. Identify root causes for data discrepancies and governance issues
- Provide ad-hoc support for analysis, reporting and pricing tool/system development
Interpersonal Responsibilities:
- Interface with internal and cross-functional partners for pricing proposals and strategy development
- Instill culture, discipline, behavior, and supporting processes to foster an environment of ideation, testing, analysis, and refinement
- Provides Best-in-Class recommendations to manager based on awareness of industry trends and emerging methods in analytics, tools, and data stewardship.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with partner IT, Data, and Analytics teams as well as Corporate Pillar teams to ensure proper alignment and application of strategic decisions
- Coordinate with partner teams such as Customer Analytics, Marketing, CRM, IT, Finance, Accounting, and Sales Operations on cross-functional projects as necessary
- Engage with legal and compliance functions to ensure that data and process standards comply with federal, state, and local regulations
- Evaluate current business practices and make recommendations for process improvements
- Develops/builds positive business relationships with internal and external customers on a daily basis
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science from an accredited institution preferred.
- MBA or similarly quantitative master's degree from a leading institution greatly preferred
- PPS Certification preferred (Professional Pricing Society)
Years of Experience:
- 4+ years of pricing operations, data analyst or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
