About the position:
The Sr. Sales Compensation Manager will be entrusted with the overall administration of the sales compensation function, calculating timely commission payments for the global sales organization and developing and modeling motivating compensation plans and spiffs. As part of the Revenue Operations function, the role is a strategic business partner to the VP, Global Outbound and Regional BDR teams.
What you will do:
- Timely and accurately calculate sales commissions
- Modeling for expense and performance management
- Suggest, model, and manage sales performance incentive funds (SPIFs)
- Handling recommendations, approvals, and documentation
- Partnering with Human Resources, create and maintain documentation of sales compensation plans and policies
- Support sales understanding of the compensation plans through training, documentation, and ongoing dialog
- Maintain the Sales Commission calendar to inform review, approval, and payroll submission deadlines
- Liaise among sales leaders, sales professionals, Finance, HR, Payroll, and IT
- Evolve compensation elements to keep pace with business dynamics and alignment to company objectives
What we are looking for:
- 5 or more years’ experience administering sales compensation plans and leading conversations about the development and iteration of plans
- Experience with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools and data integrations. Anaplan experience a plus
- Confidence in managing conflict and in presenting models and plans
- Experience working in a Sales Operations or Revenue Operations team
- Ownership mentality. Maniacal attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence and ability to communicate with all levels within the organization. Ability to communicate abstract concepts in a manner that’s consumable by the audience.
