Legend Biotech is seeking SAP Capability Manager as part of the IT team based in Somerset, NJ.Â
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Capability Manager specializing in PTP with expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM), and Warehouse Management (WM) and Invoicing modules, specifically within the biotech industry. As the functional Manager for Procurement and Inventory Management, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the BUILD and RUN functional aspects of SAP implementations, enhancements, and support related to all procurement, inventory, and warehouse processes. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional business teams, ITBPs, and SI partners to optimize business processes and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including GxP, SOX, and CFR Part 21 as applicable. By driving the successful delivery of SAP solutions, you will contribute to the seamless operation of critical procure to PTP within Legend Biotech.
Key Responsibilities Â
- Utilize your extensive Procure to Pay expertise to demonstrate a profound understanding of SAP MM, IM, and EWM modules, including procurement processes, materials planning, purchasing, goods receipt, stock management, and warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, partner organizations, and process owners to conduct comprehensive analysis of procurement and inventory processes. Based on the findings, provide recommendations for SAP solutions that align with industry best practices and meet business objectives.
- Take ownership of the solution design and review for all SAP Procurement and Inventory Management sub-modules, ensuring seamless integration with both internal and external applications while adhering to SAP global design. Oversee and perform SAP configuration and customization activities for procure to pay processes to align the system with processes and requirements.
- Coordinate with functional teams to ensure timely completion and approval of essential artifacts, including URS, FD/CD, and Test Scripts, following the validation process. Create and maintain process maps, and user guides, to ensure a comprehensive knowledge base.
- Manage and support all activities related to SoX, GXP/FDA Audits and IT controls reviews for the procurement and inventory modules. Ensure compliance with financial controls and regulatory requirements by collaborating with internal and external auditors.
- Provide expert-level support for SAP PTP modules, addressing functional issues, incidents, and change requests. Work closely with the support team to prioritize and resolve tickets efficiently.
- Oversee change management procedures, including business engagement, impact analysis, documentation review and approval, user testing reviews, and acting as the gatekeeper for transport to production, ensuring smooth and controlled changes to minimize risks and disruptions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the FICO areas, leveraging SAP functionalities and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (12+ years) in SAP Procure to Pay configuration, implementation, and support, with a focus on the biotech or process industry.
- Minimum two E2E SAP S/4 Hana green field/brownfield implementation experience, preferably in the Pharma industry, with hands-on experience in Procurement and Inventory Management areas.
- Experience with EDI/ALE interface design and work on WRICEFS.
- Extensive experience in integrating PTP processes with other modules like QM, EWM, FICO, as well as external systems.
- Proven track record in managing controls reviews and compliance with regulatory requirements, such as CFR Part 21 and GxP, in PTP within the biotech industry.
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, and warehouse business processes and principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical SAP PTP solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate/Professional - Procurement), ITIL, etc is an added advantage.
