WellSky’s Applied Insights team is looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join us in building solutions that synthesize and leverage our massive data-set of millions of patient episodes to enhance point of care solutions.  This is a unique opportunity to join a new multidisciplinary team of creative and passionate individuals destined to change the face of post-acute healthcare, a $200B+ industry that cares for millions of patients after they leave the hospital. A Day in the Life:  

  • You’ll be instrumental in writing, debugging and deploying high-quality software using established coding standards and development best practices
  • You’ll contribute key automation of operations, deployments and job scheduling, championing DevOps principles and Continuous Improvement
  • You’ll integrate critical systems and infrastructure while applying best practices for security and scalability
  • You’ll be responsible for testing software to ensure quality and alignment to standards and best practices
  • Write unit tests, automated tests, and performance tests as needed to ensure quality, supporting general debugging and isolating areas for improvement.
  • Review appropriate documentation such as implementation manuals, support manuals/playbooks, performance testing guidelines, etc. as needed to run/support the software.
  • Proactively identify and propose new, alternative technology in order to create scalable implementations and achieve delivery results.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and take responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to a vibrant engineering team

Do you have what it takes?

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • You have 4+ years of experience designing and implementing high performance distributed systems and solving complex problems in this space. You understand what it takes to write software that is used by thousands or millions of people.
  • You enjoy working in an Agile environment. 
  • You have solid development skills with back-end (e.g. REST API, (Micro)Services, Ruby, .NET Core, C#, SQL etc.) and/or front-end (i.e. TypeScript, Angular, CSS, etc.) design and programming technologies.
  • You have experience and a desire to expand your knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Helm along with automation tooling like Jenkins or Azure DevOps
  • You have experience working with cloud technologies - AWS and/or Azure
  • You believe in automation and active testing as a way of maintaining high quality in your products. You love writing things that are robust, scalable, and perform well.
