Sr. Solutions Architect
Job Description
Position Summary:
The Senior Solutions Architect will be an integral member of the Product Support team for QuartzBio’s cutting-edge Clinical Translational Hub platform. This position will work with an interdisciplinary team and interface directly with clients to advance adoption of QuartzBio’s technology solutions. A successful Sales Engineer will pair extensive background in bioinformatics and data science, with customer-facing acumen and will be vital in in ensuring that the deployment of QuartzBio’s capabilities meets the needs of our growing customer base.
As a member of the Product Support team, the Senior Solutions Architect will spearhead the alignment of existing QuartzBio products to customer pain points and will serve as a technical expert on the QuartzBio Onboarding Task Force, dedicated to rightsizing the solutions we deliver to sponsors. Following onboarding, the Senior Solutions Architect will work closely with other members of the Product Support team to collect, analyze, and propose innovative solutions to customer feature and process requests. Additional responsibilities will include contributing to technical documentation and working closely with Product Management in prioritizing feature development.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a technical expert and client advocate as a member of the QuartzBio Onboarding Task Force
- Lead the technical requirements gathering process, contributing to scoping, User Requirements Documentation (URD), and handover of projects to other members of the Product Support team and delivery teams
- Document and manage inbound feature requests from prospective and new customers, supporting the Product Management and Development teams in delivering new capabilities
- Collect feedback and share observations on implementation success and contribute to developing or improving processes
- Collaborate internally with members of other Quartz teams, pseudo-internally with members of other Precision divisions, and externally with vendors (e.g. product support platforms)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Bioinformatics, Software Development, Data Science or related field
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience in industry
Other Required:
- Expertise in Bioinformatics and/or Data Science with proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python or R preferred), SQL, and command line
- Experience in analyzing bioassay data including high-dimensional ‘omics data
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Team player contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to present work internally and externally
- Ability to interface with software engineering teams to communicate technical requirements
- Ability to interface with external teams to understand requirements and translate into actionable development goals
- Ability to work independently, exercising judgment within generally defined practices and selecting an approach for performance against high-level goals
- Extended work hours may be required to meet business demands
- Able to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight stays
- Must be able to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend the English language
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Clinical Data Management tools, including EDC and LIMS systems
- Advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Biostatistics, or related field
