Are you someone who is passionate about helping others and enjoys leveraging your technical skills to do so? WellSky is seeking an energetic and personable Sr. Support Engineer to provide application support to our Post Acute Care Facilities clients!

As an Sr. Support Engineer, you will leverage a variety of tools to troubleshoot and resolve complex application support issues. You will also work with Development and Solution Management and other resources across the company in order to shape and drive forward the evolving vision for WellSky's Specialty Care Solution. Our goal is to ensure that our clients feel supported and can focus on providing care to the populations they serve.
A day in the life!

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing superior customer service and ensuring outstanding quality.
  • Completing thorough documentation of issues.
  • Partner with development and solution management groups for unresolved issues when needed, and maintaining ownership of cases through their resolution.
  • Ensuring individual KPI response and resolution times are met.
  • Collaborating with and supporting other team members.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex WellSky Specialty Care application issues related to revenue cycle management (Billing & Census).
  • Debugging front end (Java Script) and or backend software (IBM RPG).
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and help drive product forward.
  • Manage proactive client alerting, communications, and root cause documentation.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking Security or related degree, or equivalent experience in a customer facing role.
  • 3+ years of technical troubleshooting debugging front end and or backend software.
  • 3+ years of experience engaging with customers across the technology spectrum, from IT professional to non-technical administrator.
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL to accomplish a wide array of tasks.

Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of health care information technology work experience
  • 3+ years experience in application support
  • 1+ years experience with IBM AS/400
  • Experience in Long-Term Care, inpatient psychiatric and LTCH market and/or Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Experience in healthcare support
  • Experience with medical billing and insurance
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Experience with flat file databases.
  • Experience with PM, CRM, and bug-tracking software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
