We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to lead and enhance the search experience for our global e-commerce platform. As a Senior UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way millions of users interact with our platform, ensuring that their search journey is intuitive, efficient, and delightful. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, data scientists, and other designers to create a world-class search experience that meets user needs and drives business objectives.

Location: This role is US-based remote, with a strong preference for someone located in the Pacific time zone. Occasional travel to our Southern California office might be required.


 

Job Expectations: 

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for the search experience, from initial concept to final implementation.

  • Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points related to search, and translate these insights into actionable design solutions.

  • Create user-centered designs, including wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

  • Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to define search-related features and enhancements, considering business goals and technical constraints.

  • Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless implementation of design concepts, providing necessary design assets and guidance throughout the development cycle.

  • Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data-driven insights.

  • Champion a cohesive and consistent design language for search-related components across the platform, considering global usability and accessibility standards.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the design team.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX and e-commerce to drive innovation in the search experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on e-commerce or search experiences.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.

  • Proven track record of delivering successful UX design projects that meet business goals and user needs.

  • Very strong, modern UI skills

  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with front-end development principles and an understanding of technical feasibility and limitations.

  • Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design.

  • A portfolio showcasing your previous UX and UI design work, including search or e-commerce related projects.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices is a plus.

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.  iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
Employees (and their families) that meet eligibility criteria as outlined in applicable plan documents are eligible to participate in our medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance programs and may enroll in our company’s 401(k) plan. Employees will also be eligible for Time Off and Paid Sick Leave pursuant to the company’s policies. Employees will enjoy paid holidays throughout the calendar year.  Eligibility requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents.
Hired applicant may be awarded Restrict Stock Units and receive annual bonuses pursuant to eligibility and performance criteria defined in the respective plan documents and policies.

$84,957—$173,775 USD
