SRE Engineer (US Remote; Full Time; Multiple Openings

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for ensuring RingCentral's products and services are highly available, reliable, secure and scalable by managing and maintaining production environments on a massive scale in multi-tenant environments.
JOB DUTIES: Maintaining 24x7 production environment with a high level of service availability, ensuring services are designed with 24x7 availability and operational readiness to support expected goals of RingCentral products and services; Partnering with development teams in defining and implementing improvements for production software deployments; Implementing automation and orchestration for manual processes required to operate, deploy and support ongoing and smooth operation of RingCentral's cloud services; Being at the heart of developing new ideas into internal OPS/SRE tools by working closely with advanced technology and high IT professionals; Performing quality reviews and managing operational issues, in the process of running and delivering high quality RingCentral's products; Interfacing with Dev/QNOPS teams to identify root cause analysis and re-instrument triggers to prevent future network degradation and outages; Defining non-functional requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence the new designs, standards, and methods for scalable, highly available distributed systems; Exploring and innovating new cloud and HA technologies, features, and tools to create RingCentral's world class cloud-based unified business communications service; Implementing automated tests, automated deployments, and operational tools, proactive monitoring, alerting, trend analysis and self-healing systems, participating in on-call rotations, driving restoration and repairing of service-impacting issues to solve different kind of issues with respect to performance of RingCentral's products; Collaborating with Product and Support teams to plan and deploy successful product releases.
REQUIRED SKILLS/TOOLS: Experience with CDN, media/video streaming, Python, MongoDB or Postgres, Linux OS, Jenkins, CI/CD, GitLab, k8s, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Grafana and Prometheus is required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE /
QUALIFICATIONS: U.S. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Telecommunications Systems Management or related field, or foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years of related experience, or U.S. Bachelor's degree or equiva-lent in Computer Science, Information Science, Telecommunications Systems Management or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience, is required. Within the foregoing parameters, any suitable combination of ed-ucation, training and experience is acceptable.
