About the position:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the operational accounting and financial close processes of the US corporate headquarters. The Senior Finance Associate will play a major role in the global consolidation procedures, month-end close, and external audits. This is a newly created role to help position the company for future expansion and reports to the Finance Manager.


What you will do:

  • Serve as a key contributor to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Assist with the global consolidation of the company’s subsidiaries and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare and review month-end reconciliations including but not limited to, accrued expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, and payroll liabilities. 
  • Provide meaningful analysis for subsidiary and corporate level financial statements.
  • Assist finance team on numerous projects, including the implementation of new technologies, the financial statement audit, and process improvements.
  • Work with the operations department to ensure timeliness and accuracy of customer related operational matters.
  • Communicate with department leads to identify potential accruals and accounting issues.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience (minimum of 1 at a Big 4 accounting firm)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • CPA license or pursuing a CPA preferred.
  • Experience working with publicly traded company preferred.
  • Strong understanding/proficiency of technical accounting
  • Experience with multi-national, multi-currency transactions and consolidations
  • Experience in collaborating with remote colleagues and employees globally.
  • Must thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $68,800-$86,000. Actual compensation for this position may vary and will depend on multiple factors including relevant qualifications, experience, education and geographic location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus dependent on various factors, including and without limitation, individual and company performance in addition to base salary.
