The Team
Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimal financial management, and efficient operations across the business. The team consists of Accounting, FP&A, and Tax.Â
This Position
As a Staff Accountant, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient close and financial reporting process. You will play a critical role in overseeing daily accounting activities, creating new or improving existing accounting processes.Â
Job Responsibilities
- Lead in Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and Customer Support functions by handling invoicing, collections and customer queries
- Assist in monthly and quarterly close activities, including revenue analysis, aging reports review, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Partner with Business Operations, Legal and other Telnyx departments to support internal financial systems processes and improvements
- Participate in building scalable accounting processes to support global growth
- Conduct monthly financial review to provide insights into the business, potential needs for team growth and identifying areas of improvement
- Liaise with external auditors on annual audit to ensure compliance
Who we're looking for
- 2+ years of Accounting experienceÂ
- Efficient with Excel and experience organizing large data
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and ability to research accounting issues
- Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bonus Qualities
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in using Xero, Fathom, Bill.com, or other accounting systems
- Experience working with a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or complex company
