Staff Accountant II

What you’ll do

• Prepare journal entries for assigned areas with heavy concentration of revenue related entries
• Participate in the close process including completion of journal entries, flux analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Assist with SQL report creation and maintenance
• Gain solid understanding of business transactions and accounting flow
• Assist in implementing processes to optimize data integrity and process improvements
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to the revenue process, including reporting, data gathering, analysis and enhancement of existing processes for efficiency and effectiveness. 
• Analyze data, typically to support financial transactions or data from the general ledger system, to identify and interpret patterns or trends in data sets
• Assist with or manage cross functional and accounting projects as needed
• Develop and maintain process and controls documentation for areas of responsibility
• Assist in performing research related to complex accounting issues
• Ability to meet constant stream of deadlines
• Assist in annual external audit

What makes you a great fit

• 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant
• Accounting degree, preferred
• CPA and/or public accounting audit experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of and comfort level US GAAP and technical accounting
• Robust Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software/systems
• Team player with positive attitude
• Customer-service mindset 
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, critical thinking, and a positive attitude
• Detail-oriented and well organized
• Strong ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
• QuickBooks and ERP conversion a plus 

Location

As we grow, we are working towards opening remote opportunities across the entire U.S. We currently are able to hire across the U.S except in the following locations: California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania. 

Compensation

For this role our salary range is $67,000 - $77,000, depending on relevant experience
