Staff Accountant - Remote

The Staff Accountant (FLSA exempt role), reports to the Accounting Team Lead and is primarily responsible for providing support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. In this role, you'll be a part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.
Responsibilities: 

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Track and follow up on open balances listed on accounts receivable reports.
• Create and distribute customer invoices for weekly and monthly variable billing.
• Process client contracts and initiate billing.
• Assist with data entry for vendor charges and bills.
• Reconcile data and maintain from various databases and spreadsheets.
• Perform proper revenue recognition for recurring and one-time invoices.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
• Provide support for integration of new customers into accounting processes during acquisitions.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
• Support other accounting projects and assist with automation and process improvement efforts.
• Other duties, as assigned.
