Meet the team:

Dexcom is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to work with Global Commercial Analytics team to build cloud-based data platform and develop advanced analytics "as-a-service" solutions. The data platform is primarily based on Oracle, AWS, GCP and Snowflake technologies to enable Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Data Analytics, and Forecasting Analytics.

Where you come in:

  • Maintain, build and optimize data warehouse, developing ETL solutions, automatized data flow, and analytics "as-a-service" environment
  • Have full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productionization, and data enrichment
  • Build and operate the tools we use as well as the infrastructure to develop pipelines, document, maintain system, and partners with peers
  • Drive and implement automation to empower the organization to scale efficiently and with flexibility

What makes you successful:

  • 4+ years working experience in SQL, with advanced level experience for data integration, pipeline development, data transformation
  • 3+ years working Experience in Databricks, Data/Delta lake, Oracle, or AWS Redshift type relational databases.
  • 3+ years working Extensive experience in Big Data Engineering Pipeline development
  • 3+ years working with multiple business functions to collect their data, document their processes, ensure data integrity, and maintain relationship with stakeholders
  • 3+ years of Experience with AWS/GCP Cloud or equivalent on data integration with Glue, Kafka, Elastic Search, Lambda, S3, Redshift, RDS, Kubernete, or BigQuery ecosystems.
  • Experience in python development especially in Cloud environment, and common python libraries
  • Design, develop test, deploy, maintain, and improve data integration pipeline.
  • Strong analytical experience with database in writing complex queries, query optimization, debugging, user defined functions, views, indexes etc.
  • Highly self-driven, execution-focused, with a willingness to do "what it takes" to deliver results as you will be expected to rapidly cover a considerable amount of demands on data integration
  • Understanding of development methodology and actual experience writing functional and technical documentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, by telephone, and with large teams.
  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex data integration problems;
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally. Above all else, must be equal parts data-driven and results-driven

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with source control systems such as Git and Jenkins build and continuous integration tools.
  • Current AWS certification associate or professional.

Travel Required:

  • Up to 25%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience
