Job Title: Staff Engineer, Characterization

Job Duties: Work on characterization and product development of RF ICs in pSemi's UltraCMOS technology for mobile wireless, commercial, and industrial applications. Work closely with product designers to develop, evaluate, and maintain optimum characterization plans for new product development; perform product characterization over a superset of conditions specified in the datasheet; drive the development of necessary benches to evaluate all relevant performance requirement. Analysis and development of optimization techniques for rapid characterization and test. Analyze results from products being stressed for ESD and large RF signal immunity. Support bench testing of qualification units. Document all relevant product information specific to the performance and limitations of the device as future reference for application and customer support. Provide data sheet performance limits based on design verification and characterization data. Work with the product development team to prepare industry leading product designs and prepare them for mass production. Work with other essential disciplines including marketing and applications, project management, design, production, and test engineering.

Required education: Master of Science or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

Required experience: 1 year as Staff Engineer, Characterization or RF Engineer.

Additional minimum requirements: work experience to include at least 1 year of the following:

  1. Analyzing RF systems for accurate measurement of small and large signal RF Front ends;
  2. RF switches, PAs, LNAs, filters;
  3. Load pull system;
  4. Programming in Matlab, Python;
  5. Gain; S-Parameter; IP2/IP3; Noise Figure.
