Job Description

Key Skills - Docker, Kubernetes, Linux Platform, Terraform

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement: build, deployment, and configuration of management systems.
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployment of new code, and maintenance of deployed applications.
• Administer and ensure the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve system robustness and reduce downtime.
• Provide technical guidance through documentation and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
• Consult with peers for feedback during development and testing stages.
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
• Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficient with Terraform for infrastructure as code to safely and predictably create, change, and improve infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Docker containerization and orchestration to encapsulate and deploy applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes for automating application deployment, scaling, and management.
• In-depth understanding of Linux platforms and their administration, as well as scripting in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with database management, including MongoDB and MySQL.
• Proficiency in message brokers like RabbitMQ and Kafka for handling data streams.
• Experience with web servers and reverse proxy systems such as HAProxy and Nginx.
• Knowledge of Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.
• Experience with cloud services, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Openstack.
• Hands-on experience with Concourse, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools
• Experience with Ansible for apps and IT automation and configuration management.
• Tools like Packer for creating machine images.
• Experience with the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack for logging.
• Proficiency in monitoring solutions like Grafana, Prometheus, and InfluxDB for tracking application performance metrics.
