This position is based in our San Jose, CA, Draper, UT, or remote. We support a hybrid work environment with on-site and remote work days.

You're applying to work on the team that sits at the intersection of and handles transaction processing for our Divvy Payment Services product. We are proud of our industry-leading card swipe response time, our rock-solid infrastructure, and our track record of leadership within the company. Your whole team will work to make sure you feel truly welcomed and are a critical part of our operations. You'll be supported by one of the best QA Automation engineers in the industry and an absolutely outstanding and technically-minded Customer Success Manager.
We’d love to chat if you have:
- Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience will be considered
- Complete confidence in planning, writing, testing, shipping, and maintaining high-quality and resilient code
- Strong understanding of engineering, product, and design interoperation and communication
- Test-driven development mindset and pride in code resilience
- Collaborative, high-trust approach to team building and collaboration
- Experience architecting large scale, high volume, high availability services
- Passion for great products and building great experiences, Proven ability to take the product through all stages of development from concept to launch at scale.
- Love leading technical discussions and mentoring other engineers
- Experience with Elixir, Ecto and Phoenix
- Familiarity with event sourcing or Kafka
- Knowledge of microservice architecture, patterns and common anti-patterns.
- Experience in payments industry or building payment applications highly preferred
We’ll be even more stoked if you have:
- Experience shipping performant and resilient code
- Professional development experience with Elixir or another functional programming language
- Familiarity with Phoenix framework and/or Ecto toolkit
- DataDog and Splunk setup, monitoring, and alerting experience
- Advanced Splunk querying skills and/or experience with DataDog dashboards
- Experience building platform tools for enterprises and/or Experience in KYB/KYC is a plus.
- Experience with streaming data via Kafka
- Experience with stateful stream processing (e.g. Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Storm)
