Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack

Pinterest’s Trust & Safety Tools team is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build tooling that keeps Pinners safe and inspired. Backing up Pinterest’s promise of being a positive corner of the internet our team is responsible for supporting operations agents analysts and other engineers with content safety efforts with internal tools to aid in scaled content moderation.

What you’ll do:

• Leverage Python Typescript and MySQL skills to work across the stack

• Build maintain and improve web-based tooling that serves thousands of agents and millions of users

• Optimize agent productivity by improving operational efficiency

• Define and establish the direction of the content safety tooling roadmap based on the current state of safety and technological advancements

• Lead key projects partnering with T&S Operations Policy and Product and other engineering teams across Pinterest

• Serve on an on-call rotation (roughly 1 week of every 8) to support our tools

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years experience with Python Javascript and MySQL

• Experience mentoring more junior engineers

• Comfortable diving into ambiguous technical problems working closely with Product Legal Policy and Operations teams

• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and verbally to many stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
