Staff Software Engineer, Trust and Safety Experience (Fullstack)

The Experience team's mission is to provide Affirm's customers seamless and safe authentication and identity verification experiences. More concretely, our team is dedicated to integrating new data, experimenting with new verification methods, and iterating continuously on the sign-in and sign-up experiences. Being at the top of the funnel, we are pressed by two main concerns, growth/funnel conversion and fraud detection. It requires a delicate balancing act that you will be at the center of.

What You'll Do
- Design and implement new platforms and frameworks to improve fraud fighting velocity and simultaneously better understanding consumer behavior.
- Work with product and internal partners to understand key concerns around fraud prevention and growth conversion.
- Write high-quality code that can be easily understood and leveraged by others
- Participate in our team's on-call rotation to communicate, escalate, and fix critical issues
- Participate in making our team and workplace an inclusive environment
What We Look For
- 7+ years of software engineering experience shipping production quality code
- Solid CS fundamentals
- Prior experience building and launching complex software systems
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication
- Humility and self-awareness to understand and navigate the unknown
- Passion and drive to change consumer banking for the better!
