Sterile Processing Manager

Reporting to Director of Surgical Services, this position is responsible for the management of the Sterile Processing staff and coordinating the day to day activities of the Sterile Processing Department.

Duties: staffing to meet the needs of the department andproductivity standards, fiscal oversight, ongoing staff education, regulatoryreadiness, following industry standards to include but not limited to:decontamination, sterilization, distribution and maintenance of instruments,collaboration with service line coordinators and other departments SterileProcessing services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
2. CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification and three years of central processing experience required; five years preferred.
3. Training in sterile technique, the care and handling of surgical instruments, and instrument identification preferred.
4. Three to five years supervisory experience preferred.
5. Bachelor's degree preferred.
