To help manage some of the biggest enterprise accounts in Germany we are looking for a Strategic Account Executive to demonstrate the value of the Databricks Lakehouse. You will be the owner of a very small vertically-aligned portfolio of existing large enterprise accounts that have a global footprint, build relationships across different business units and drive an increased number of Databricks engagements. To sell Databricks effectively you will need to sell using a "consumption-based" approach and demonstrate tangible value after every engagement. You will also need to develop "trusted advisor" status with clients and come with an informed and compelling point of view on Big Data and Advanced Analytics. To ensure your success you will collaborate effectively with internal teams and partners, allowing you to provide value to our biggest and most valued customers.


The impact you will have:

  • Assess your account(s) and develop a strategic plan to identify and utilise all buying centres
  • Become a Trusted Advisor to clients in the fields of Data & AI
  • Identify new use cases in each account and maximise Databricks impact
  • Partner with internal teams to maximise the impact on your ecosystem
  • Build and show value with all engagements to guide successful negotiations to close point
  • Drive significant growth in consumption of your customers
  • Identify all key uses cases and buying centres in an opportunity to increase the impact of Databricks in an organisation

What we look for:

  • Strong track record of quota achievement
  • Experience selling multi million dollar complex cloud software deals to Germany's most recognisable organisations.
  • Experience selling consumption-based SaaS solutions advantageous
  • Evidence of creating demand that provides large scale account expansion
  • Experience following robust sales methodologies and qualification processes (e.g. MEDDPICC, Value selling)
  • Build champions and collaborative teams to support the implementation of your sales strategy
  • Experience developing a clear partner strategy and managing it to success
  • Fluent German and English language skills
