This position is a hybrid role working remote with occasional travel to our distribution center in Independence KY.
** Candidates can be located in the state of OH, IN or KY **
As the Strategy & Operations Manager embedded within our manufacturing and supply chain organization, you will lead and execute against all key strategic and operational initiatives to improve the performance of one of our largest operating units - global supply chain. You will do so in collaboration with members of the Executive team, key Business Unit leaders, and the manufacturing and supply chain leadership team, reporting into the SVP of Cengage Group Supply Chain. You will also join a broader strategy and operations community, made up of analysts, managers, and directors/VPs, who similarly focus on large-scale strategy and business operations projects across Cengage Group, which will afford you mentorship and personal development opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Complete Cengage Supply Chain operational transformation initiatives by developing work plan, capturing and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing recommendations for organizational change.
- Form deep understanding of Cengage products, processes, systems, personnel, and strategic direction.
- Collaboratively support and work with a team of high-performance business operations, strategy, and transformation leaders and peers.
Skills you will need here:
- Four year degree and/or previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution Supply, Planning, and Manufacturing
- Experience leading large-scale projects and/or experience in professional services organizations (consulting) and/or cross-functional leadership roles (leadership development program, business operations, or business transformation)
- Proven experience in corporate, team and program leadership.
- Confidence in providing input in decision making processes.
- Ability to self-lead progress against milestone and results with high degree of accountability and urgency.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to draw conclusions from large data sets, summarize and tell clear, executive grade stories.
- Ability to relay sophisticated analysis for senior audiences.
- Strong writing and verbal skills.
- Previous operational consulting or strategy consulting experience.
- Experience with data visualization and analysis tools
- Experience documenting and analyzing workflows.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance or related field(s)
