We are hiring a Subcontracts Manager to be responsible for overseeing the subcontracting process from cradle to grave. They will ensure compliance with government regulations, manage subcontractor relationships, create and negotiate agreements, administer subcontracting activities throughout the project lifecycle, as well as other ad hoc tasks. This role requires expertise in government contracting as well as proficiency in utilizing the Unanet system to streamline processes and maximize productivity.
What you'll be doing:
- Government Contract Compliance: Ensure subcontracting activities align with government regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), throughout the subcontracting process.Â
- Subcontractor Identification and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors/vendors with experience in government contracts. Assess their capabilities, past performance, financial stability, and compliance history to ensure they meet the organization's standards and government requirements.
- Negotiate and manage the NDAs, TAs subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements.Â
- Cost and Pricing Analysis: Conduct cost and pricing analysis of subcontractor proposals to ensure fair and reasonable pricing. Collaborate with finance and cost estimating teams to validate subcontractor costs and develop pricing strategies that comply with government regulations.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate subcontract agreements incorporating government- specific terms and conditions, pricing structures, contractual requirements, and government regulations. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to establish terms and conditions, pricing structures, deliverables, and any specific contractual requirements mandated by the government.
- Subcontract Administration: Oversee the entire subcontracting process, including subcontractor onboarding, documentation, compliance, and performance management. Monitor subcontractor deliverables, progress, and adherence to government contract requirements.
- Government Reporting and Audits: Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies as per contract requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information related to subcontracting activities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with subcontracting activities in government contracts. Monitor subcontractor performance, address any issues or conflicts, and take corrective actions to ensure project success and compliance.
- Utilize the Unanet system to manage subcontracting activities, including documentation, compliance tracking, cost and pricing analysis, reporting, and management/monitoring of entries.
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years as subcontract management with a focus on government contracts is required.
- In-depth understanding of government regulations and compliance requirements, including FAR and DFARS. Familiarity with government procurement processes, reporting obligations, and audit procedures.
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing complex subcontract agreements in the government contracting space. Strong knowledge of government-specific contractual terms, pricing strategies, and clauses.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate subcontractor capabilities, financial stability, and cost proposals. Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple subcontracting activities concurrently and meet government deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing and managing subcontractor documentation, deliverables, and compliance requirements specific to government contracts.
- Unanet experience is a plus.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.Â

Compensation:
At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.
United States Wage Range: $80,000 – $120,000
