Summary
This position is located at NAF Support Services.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
- Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, to include a physical assessment, and Tier III investigation and Special Agreement Checks.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Within 6 months of hire must obtain a Comptia Security+ Certification.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate knowledge and skill in:
- Principles and methods for integrating information systems components;
- Performance tuning tools and techniques;
- System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques;
- Systems administration methods; and
- IT security principles.
Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity, difficulty and responsibility to the next lower pay band level.

- A certificate or degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: - Possess a valid baseline IT certification, such as IAT-II Technical Certification, CompTIA Security+ or higher, and/or a higher-level IT certification.
- Possess two (2) years of experience working in Family Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR).
- Possess two (2) years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting Information Technology issues with various systems, including RecTrac or similar point of sale systems.
- Possess one year of supervisory experience, either within MWR or a similar civilian activity, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
- Possess IT equipment procurement experience, including familiarity with APMS, ITAS, and/or eMass, demonstrating expertise in procurement processes and system integration.
- Possess experience in adhering to IT budgets while managing Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) within constraints, including asset assessment, forecasting, and cost-effective strategies.
- Possess technical skills in hardware, software, networking, and security, proficient in issue resolution, with practical experience configuring commercial networks, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Education
Certificate or degree or equivalent degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.

- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). - Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
