Supervisory Information Technology Specialist

To be eligible at the GS-13 level, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: monitoring status of IT operating systems; evaluating quality of operations; Planning and improving information systems to meet the needs of customer requirements; overseeing long and short range planning of services; and performing project management, program analysis, and providing technical guidance and recommendations to senior management and technical specialists on a wide range of complex IT issues.

Basic Requirement for all applicants: In addition, all applicants must possess information Technology related experience demonstrating each of the following competences: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication and Problem Solving. This experience may have been gained by performing the following types of duties: Ensuring IT systems availability, functionality integrity and efficiency; performing oversight of IT support tasks associated with day-to-day operation of the IT systems; and planning, organizing and evaluating the work of subordinates. Your resume must clearly contain enough information demonstrating experience in the above competencies.
