Job description

Summary Serves as the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program Manager. Incumbent reports to the Technical Operations, Technical Services Organization, Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Support Operations Group (EOSG), EOSH Program Support Center. A recent SF-50 is required (See Required Documents for requirements). Qualifications To qualify for this position at the FV-I level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level. Specialized experience is experience in or related to safety and occupational health that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes independently conducting environmental/safety inspections of workplace hazards including asbestos, mold, drinking water, electrical, confined spaces, and elevated work surfaces. It also includes evaluating the planning and implementation of electrical, asbestos, and fall protection occupational safety programs and abatement plans; developing corrective measures, controlling identified hazards, monitoring implementation of corrective measures for compliance; and identifying safety training and protective personal equipment needs. This position has the following physical requirements: ability to climb ladders (up to 100 feet) and stairs (up to 400 feet in height) to access elevated work sites during inspections.
