Summary
The position is in the Center for Information Technology (CIT) Hosting and Storage Services (HSS) service area.
As a service organization, CIT provides the NIH community with a variety of IT services to support mission-critical research and administration.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) GS-2210-14 position, you must have IT-related experience as described below. The experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate IT-related experience must demonstrate each of the four competencies listed below:
- Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
- Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that you work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
- Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
- Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
AND to qualify at the GS-14 level:
- In order to qualify for a Supervisory IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) position at the GS-14 level, you must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector typically gained in the IT field or through performing IT related tasks such as: developing and delivering hosting, database, and storage services for a biomedical research organization; managing hosting, database, and storage planning, management, and administrative functions; providing technical advice and leadership for the implementation and management of hosting, database, and storage services; and providing supervision or direction to other staff and contractors in providing hosting, database, and storage services.

candidate will be considered a "non-emergency/teleworker" employee. In the event of a
closure, you must be available to telework or request leave. - A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.
- A one-year supervisory trial/probationary period may be required upon selection/
placement. - At the supervisor's discretion, this position may offer work schedule flexibilities:
[telework (work from home on a regular basis or ad hoc basis but reports to the office
at least once a week/two days a pay period). - If selected, you will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report,
OGE Form 450 to determine if a conflict or an appearance of a conflict exists between
