We are seeking an equally passionate Supply Chain Manager who will direct and coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution and financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, and safety as well as oversight of the movement, storage, and processing of inventory.  Responsibilities also include examining existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs.

Salary Range is $100,000 - $120,000

Position can be based near any of our current warehouses in New Orleans, LA; Ewing, NJ; Bridgeport, CT; or Worcester, MA. Some travel and  working irregular hours are required.

Essential Job Functions include:

• Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution
• Develop material costs forecasts, standard cost lists and supply chain models
• Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, inventory and store materials
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders
• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality, appropriate lead times and delivery requirements
• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required OR 5 plus years in solar procurement and APICS certification
• 5-7 years supply chain experience required
• Previous supervision or management experience 
• Inventory planning systems experience required 
• Solar industry supply chain experience preferred but not required
