Are you someone who is passionate about helping others and enjoys leveraging your technical skills to do so? Are you a self starter? WellSky is seeking an energetic and personable Support Engineer to provide technical application support to our Blood Management clients!
As a Support Engineer, you will work with a team of clinical and technical professionals as well as Development and Solution Management to shape and drive forward the evolving vision for WellSky's Blood Management Solutions.   A Support Engineer leverages a variety of tools to troubleshoot and resolve application support issues for remote and onsite database clients. Our goal is to ensure that our clients feel supported and can focus on providing care to the populations they serve.
A day in the life!Â
You will be responsible for the following:
- Troubleshoot and resolve WellSky client issues related to their on-site or hosted Windows Server/SQL Server installation via phone, email, and in person.
- Consult with clients on proper IT functions, like backups, user management, security settings, breaches, and system speed issues, to make sure their WellSky software works as best as possible.
- Documentation of activities and interactions related to data dictionaries and custom procedures/ configurations in a customer’s environment.
- Providing superior client service and ensuring outstanding quality.
- Partner with development and product strategy groups for unresolved issues when needed and maintaining ownership of cases through their resolution.
- Collaborating with and supporting other team members.
Do you have what it takes?
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking Security or related degree, or equivalent experience in a customer facing role
2+ years of years troubleshooting Windows Microsoft Server and Desktop installations, including registry keys, IIS, Active Directory.
2+ years of experience administering and troubleshooting issues with Microsoft SQL Server installations
Do you stand above the rest?
Preferred Experience:
Experience in IT healthcare support
Experience with interfacing Clinical Laboratory Information Systems
Experience using analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, SAP, and Access
Experience with Java, C++, RPG, AS400, Python, or equivalent.Â
