As our SVP, Group Client Service Leader, you will…
Be Accountable and Responsible
As SVP, Group Client Service Leader you’ll oversee and lead all account management processes on your respective accounts within our financial services practice. You’ll act as a senior solution-oriented leader that thrives on developing lasting relationships between the client and agency teams. Utilizing deep industry knowledge and experience, you will inspire team members to make our strategy, creative, media and technology solutions innovative, smart and compelling. This position involves consistent client contact and operates at a high level in all aspects of account management.
- Provide strategic leadership for Account Management team, including:
- Serve as the trusted voice of the consumer by assimilating customer and marketplace insights into strategies and marketing programs
- Efficiently balance the dual expectations and concerns of the agency and our clients
- Guide clients by educating them with strategy, ideas, trends, and thought leadership
- Responsible for creating relationships with senior clients to facilitate the overall needs of the client and agency
- Sign off on materials for reporting to the client
- Grow business by utilizing experience to identify additional business needs and implement solutions
- Leverage experience and capabilities to craft strategic and creative solutions for both existing and new business clients
- Incorporate senior staff from other departments as project objectives or issues warrant
- Lead MERGE teams through the estimation and proposal process
- Author and negotiate statements of work, ensuring documentation, accuracy and implementation follow-through
- Manage account financial revenue and profitabilityÂ
- Manage and grow a team as a mentor and trusted advisor to account team
These are the qualifications we’re looking for
- 15+ years of account management experience in an advertising agency environment that includes a proven track record of strategic leadership in integrated marketingÂ
- Extensive expertise in the Healthcare industry vertical, specifically in Health plans is required
- Advanced client management skills, especially as it relates to expanding business within existing clients
- Strong, proactive leader possessing big picture thinking
- Sound analytical skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with seasoned presentation and pitch skills
- Proven ability to evaluate competitive communications across category, consumer, service, cultural trends, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
Compensation: $140,000 - $227,000
Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience. MERGE’s career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role, and are promoted into the next level, generally during salary review cycles which are posted in the employee handbook.
