Lead a multi-disciplinary team in cybersecurity risk analysis for U.S. Navy weapon systems ensuring effective communication compliance and security risk mitigation.

Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced System Security Engineering (SSE) Cybersecurity Technical Lead to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.
As the SSE Cybersecurity Technical Lead you will lead a multi-disciplinary System Security Engineering team in the implementation and execution of cybersecurity risk analysis and management processes for the U.S. Navy's next generation strategic deterrent and integrated combat system. You will work closely with government customers to provide technical input and recommendations oversee the development and maintenance of the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP) policy and directives and implement the appropriate tools for architecting modeling and designing an SSE infrastructure to continuously assess mitigate and minimize risk to the system's security and to the overall mission.
In this role you will ensure all responsible projects are planned and executed within approved program management processes and contractual requirements inform internal program managers and technical leaders of technical and programmatic risks and opportunities and lead the development of mitigation strategies. You will also coordinate with stakeholders including Government personnel contractors and vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration and leverage Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) at various design phases of a program lifecycle to facilitate in identification of potential vulnerabilities and threats within a system. The SSE Cybersecurity Technical Lead will lead and support technical meetings lead the execution of Cybersecurity assessments and present project status reports to senior Navy and BAE Systems leadership as required. A limited amount of travel to off-site locations could be required.

Required Education Experience & Skills

• Education and years of related/relevant work expreince required: A Bachelor's Degree in engineering science technical or similar and at least 10 years of related/relevant work experience or equivalent education and related/relevant work expereince is required

Additional skills/experience required:

• Ability to manage programmatic schedules and drive performance to meet contract deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence multi-disciplinary teams in complex systems engineering across the product development lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to oversee and implement security risk management processes and mitigation strategies for security policy and requirements
• Experience with Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-53) and mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with Critical Program Information Identification and Criticality Analysis
• High level understanding of the Supply Chain Security as an early adoption of threat mitigation strategies during system developmental activities
• Exceptional verbal written and presentation communication skills
• Experience in developing content for RMF packages used to gain an Authority To Operate (ATO) for an Information Systems
• Skills in analysis critical thinking and technical problem solving
• Thorough understanding and implementation of the end-to-end System Engineering lifecycle.

Preferred Education Experience & Skills

• Master's degree in technical management engineering cybersecurity or other technical discipline
• Prior industry experience that afforded opportunities to ensure the effectiveness of major defense systems such as Trident Minuteman or Peacekeeper
• Prior industry experience supporting nuclear surety programs or missile systems in a technical leadership role
• Knowledge and experience working in the DoD/DOE technical services industry
• Desired experience in digital engineering and model-based systems engineering principles and tools
• CISSP or equivalent Cybersecurity certification
• Security + or other Cybersecurity certification

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to: business considerations local market conditions and internal equity as well as candidate qualifications such as skills education and experience.
