Systems Administrator (Netsuite), Business Systems

Reporting to the leader of Business Systems, you will enhance and implement the core Finance Business Systems to boost the efficiency and enable the team to support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate must be passionate about data, detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Netsuite development and have experience enhancing multiple finance and accounting platforms. We’re looking for an experienced Finance Systems Administrator for Netsuite to join our Business Systems organization to support Benchling’s hyper-growth across multiple applications, specializing in Netsuite. A solid foundation of both technology and supporting multiple finance processes is a must. As a core member of the delivery team, we are searching for a flexible person who learns quickly, has previous experience supporting Netsuite and other finance systems, as well as experience with other finance technologies. You will partner with the finance team and the broader Business Systems team to manage the configuration and development of system enhancements, upgrades, system modifications, and day-to-day issue analysis, tracking, and resolution. You are responsible for supporting our finance systems (i.e. Netsuite, FloQast, Workday Adaptive Insights, etc.) for business needs, and ensure the functionality is optimized to meet the evolving needs of the business. You are also responsible to ensure that functional users are fully equipped with the training and knowledge required to effectively work in the Netsuite environment and other core finance systems. 

• Document business objectives, use cases, business requirements, system specifications, workflows, and process documentation
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Revenue Ops teams to convert their requirements into technical design and bring the designs to operating effectiveness
• Manage the Netsuite application and all integrated cloud-based applications, such as our financial planning, procurement, close management systems and others
• Maintain user access and roles, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties
• Support all end user requests and providing timely issue resolution for internal users
• Troubleshoot problems including system interfaces and integration issues
• Assist the finance department with data analysis and reporting needs (such as saved searches) to support their optimized use of Netsuite and other identified applications
• Develop configuration, test, release and support system maintenance for ongoing projects and improvements
• Maintain and improve controls for Netsuite and other tools currently being used by the Finance teams
• Perform system audits, data audits, error log checks, and resolve issues identified.

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Technology or Finance related field
• 5+ years experience with Netsuite Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay & Record-to-Report business processes
• At least 3+ years hands-on Netsuite administration experience supporting RevRec, Procurement, GL, AR, FA and AP
• An extensive understanding of Netsuite, including experience in advanced revenue management (ARM) and being integrated with a SFDC CPQ environment.
• Are an effective listener and communicator in both formal and informal situations
• Ability to have detailed conversations with business and operations to understand their requirements and provide solutions
• Experience with system implementations and working with third-party providers
• Strong customer-focus and business acumen, while focusing on communications and stakeholder collaboration
• Experience with change management by building, testing, and deploying changes across multiple environments
