Systems Engineer

This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.

Work/Project Scope:

• Responsible for helping our team on several initiatives to enhance and scale our IT Infrastructure needs in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

• Provide technical expertise while working with cross-functional teams to achieve compliance revamping our Identity Management System integrating applications with our Identity Provider and improving/enhancing existing services hosted by Upwork Corporate Technology.

Must Haves (Required Skills):

• DevOps mindset to approaching problems

• Experience with Configuration Management(Terraform Ansible Chef Puppet etc)

• Ability to manage own projects meet deadlines and communicate with stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies.

• Comfortable in at least one of the following scripting languages (Python PowerShell Go)

• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Container orchestration

• Ability to adapt to change and learn new technologies

• 3 Years of experience in AWS/Azure/GCP

• Comfortable with Linux and Windows systems

• Ability to join the on-call rotation 1 week every 2 months

• Able to work during Central Standard Time business hours during the training period
