The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:

Raytheon Technologies (RTX) Engineering Applications organization has an opening for a Systems Analyst (Analyst, Business Systems and Transformation). Individual Contributor. Remote Opportunity.

Provide technical analysis and development support across multiple projects with a geographically dispersed customers and application development team.

Responsibilities will include coordinating and tracking all software requirements for assigned applications from requirements definition to delivery inclusive of environmental upgrades, customer interface, estimating future development and COTS upgrade scopes , executing processes to obtain internal security approval for individual applications, mentoring team members, designing and documenting software enhancements as needed, cross-team coordination, troubleshooting issues inclusive of the database connections and the server environments, application maintenance, sprint and reporting participation, performing regular code reviews for guidelines and standards adherence.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for documenting interaction (questions and responses, requirements definitions, and prioritization) from a business owner
  • Manage JIRA Kanban boards, manage developer assignment priorities, provide liaison interface with the vendors and coordinate escalations as needed.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer by presenting results of all analysis and deliverables to project teams
  • Document decisions and the supporting reasons for the action made at each design meeting and via internal ticketing systems
  • Manage tasks according to prescribed project priorities and provide progress reports on tasks and projects
  • Compile estimates and scheduling for application enhancements, upgrades or maintenance when needed
  • Responsible for troubleshooting software applications and document technical resolutions for research tickets inclusive of coordination with other groups for environmental and database issues
  • Responsible for creating and obtaining application and server specification documentation, obtaining security scans and managing issue resolution to secure ATO (Authorization to Operate) approval for each application supported and mentor as required.
  • Handle tough technical problems, data issues and manage multiple assignments
  • Provide post-implementation support
  • Responsible for the creation or review of user documentation for assigned projects
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates on tasks and job estimates to supervisor and project management as necessary
  • Comply with department methodologies and software development methodologies.
  • Escalate project challenges and communicate risks and opportunities to leadership
  • Work both independently and in a team environment with clear reporting
  • Mentor other developers and serve as a subject matter expert on assigned business applications
  • Propose and implement ideas to improve operational processes and procedures
  • Interpret business and technical requirements into software architecture and design

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Typically up to 18 months professional experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree
  • Experience in developing front end website architecture
  • Designing user interactions on web pages
  • Developing back-end website applications
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality
  • Designing and developing APIs, software maintenance
  • US Citizenship

Desired Skills:
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, coordination and analytical skills
  • Exposure to 8JIRA, SNOW (Service Now), SAFE, CORE
  • Excellent skills in managing work to schedules
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, requirements analysis and able to test and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Goal oriented with attention to detail and strongly adaptable

Required Education:

Typically a bachelor's degree in Computer Science Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) of Software Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.

The salary range for this role is $49,000.00 to $93,000.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
