M-F 8-5, Remote but may need to be on site 2x a year.

Develops and implements Advocate Aurora Health's (AAH) Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) plan, practices and policies in areas related to the sourcing, hiring and onboarding of team members and creating pipelines of diverse talent for the organization. Assesses learning needs for recruitment and hiring leaders, in partnership with key stakeholders, and will design/develop appropriate programming to meet those needs. Ensures partnerships with local organizations and educational institutions by educating recruitment team and leadership on expanding networks. Develops strategy for Talent Acquisition (TA) around top D&I initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an independent consultant and subject matter expert for TA and hiring leaders on issues related to recruiting diverse talent.
  • Partners with Office of Diversity at AAH to ensure recruitment diversity and inclusion goals are aligned to overall D&I system goals. Partners closely with all recruiters and the leaders overseeing recruitment, leadership recruitment and provider recruitment to inform and ensure consistency among diverse recruiting best practices.
  • Leads design and implementation of an effective diversity and inclusion development plan for TA and Hiring Leaders. Assesses learning needs on an annual basis and manages the development, integration and delivery of creative and impactful educational programs, program elements, educational resources and/or projects and interventions related to recruiting a diverse workforce.
  • Works to build internal mobility for advancing ready now team members and creates programs to enhance the pipeline of diverse candidates.
  • Facilitates external partnerships to increase pipeline of diverse talent to AAH. Partners with community affairs to give TA a presence and voice in local events.
  • Identifies areas of opportunity and executes strategy in order to develop more diverse networks for recruiters and hiring leaders.
  • Drives outcomes for team by working closely with recruiters to establish D&I goals around learning, hires and retention with a focus on reducing 90-day turnover.
  • Ensures inclusive practices are in place to create a positive candidate experience for all candidates.
  • Determines effective measures and conducts workforce analytics, aligned with AAH's key metrics, for diversity and inclusion. Analyzes data to evaluate outcomes and effectiveness of process and programs.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • None Required.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 10 years of experience in workforce diversity, human resources, and/or organization development.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Proven ability to work effectively with multi-cultural/ethnic/diverse populations.
  • Significant depth of knowledge and scope of experience in the area of workforce diversity, and in facilitating the development of a robust learning program to facilitate inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Successful experience in achieving objectives in a complex, multi-facility, corporate setting and matrix management environment.
  • Excellent training and organization development design and evaluation skills. Educational design and delivery skills are required.
  • Significant depth of knowledge and scope of experience in project management and change management.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, interdependent manner with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent platform, group facilitation and internal consultation skills.
  • Superior written and oral communication and planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and work through to accomplishment of strategic objectives.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Exposed to a normal office environment.
  • Position may require travel among Aurora sites, and therefore there is exposure to road and weather conditions.
