Job Description
SUMMARY
TAs play a critical role in teaching ~25-30 learners (as part of a larger class) in Correlation One’s virtual Software/Web Development training program. The TA commitment for our program will be for the duration of 21 weeks. TAs will be expected to support synchronous sessions as well as provide asynchronous support to Fellows to ensure their comprehension and learning.
We review applications on a rolling basis and expect to make all hiring decisions by March 15. Please note that applications and roles are filled on a first come first serve basis.
DESCRIPTION

- TA will support ~25-30 learners in their learning as they work toward completion of the program.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboarding (Pre-Program): March 20, 2023 @ 4-6pm ET + March 22 @ 4-6pm ET
We will host 2 live onboarding sessions, when we walk through the program elements, set you up on our systems, and ensure that you are prepared to teach and support learners effectively before the program launches on April 5, 2023. We will provide training materials in advance of, during, and after these onboarding sessions, which will be important for you to ensure your understanding of this content and your responsibilities.
Mandatory Onboarding (Pre-Program Dates)
- Monday, March 20, 2023 @ 4-6pm ET
- Wednesday, March 22, 2023 @ 4-6pm ET
Management and Support (During Program):Â
- Join us for our program launch on Wednesday, April 5 2023, where you will introduce yourself to your fellows.Â
- Attend all* classes (6 hours per week), as listed below:
- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 4-6pm ETÂ
*This is for a “full-time” TA, which is expected to be a total of 15-17 hour commitment; there is an option to be a “part-time” TA which is an 8-10 hour/week commitment and would have lower session attendance expectations while maintaining office hours, grading, and review sessions.
- Provide a weekly 2-hour project session based on your fellows’ availability
- Provide 8 hours of individual office hour sessions for learners each week. You may set these hours within our parameters, for your convenience.
- Engage with fellows on Slack during and between live sessions.
- Work with fellow instructors/TAs and our team on ways to improve learner experience (Note: you will be paired with a fellow TA to support a cohort of learners)Â
REQUIREMENTS
- Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content
- Expertise in Software/Web Development concepts
- Prior experience supporting learners, especially remote learners, at any level is a plus
This position is accessible for those with other professional responsibilities, including full-time jobs, provided you can commit to regular synchronous support for live class sessions. We require a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice for any planned absences from live sessions or periods when Trainers are not available (i.e., scheduled vacations, other work commitments, etc.); we will communicate more specific expectations for this during the onboarding process.
COMPENSATION
- Full-Time TA: $12,500 base salary
- Up to $4,000 performance bonus
- Part-Time TA: $7,000 base salary
- Up to $2,500 performance bonus
