Your job opportunity:

We’re looking for an exceptional Tech Lead to support the scale and complexity of our growing infrastructure, and to architect and build our industry-changing product. You’ll report directly to our VP of Engineering, get hands-on with the code, and support the efforts of other engineers along the way. You’ll drive significant impact on the team and will operate with a high level of ownership and autonomy around your solutions.  

This role is hybrid out of Boston. 

You will:

• Lead essential architectural discussions and make high-level design decisions
• Break down ambiguous challenges and create scalable and highly-reliable tools and systems
• Bring your expertise in coding, architecting, researching, decision making, and process-building
• Influence both top-level strategy and specific technical decision making across the tech stack
• Provide technical leadership and expertise to a dynamic team of software engineers

You have:

• 2+ years of experience in a Tech Lead, Principal, or Staff Engineering role
• A track record of delivering on a full development lifecycle, especially in a high-growth environment
• Adept at shipping high-quality, well-tested code.
• Strong hands-on experience in API design and distributed computing.
• Self-motivating, self-directing.
• A high degree of empathy.
• Passionate about healthy team culture and collaboration.

It’s a plus (optional):

• Electric vehicle infrastructure charging ecosystem experience.
• Comprehensive experience in developing APIs with Spring.
• Experience with NoSQL, RDBMS or other alternative data storage technologies.
• OCPP, OCPI knowledge or other charging infrastructure protocols.
• Experience developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with DynamoDB, Redis, and MongoDB.
