This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tech Lead de Checkout — Frente de Eletrônicos based in Brazil.

This role is a strategic technical leadership position focused on the end-to-end evolution of the Checkout experience within a high-impact e-commerce environment. You will lead the technical direction of a critical product surface that directly influences conversion, payments, and customer experience. Acting as a key bridge between engineering, product, and business stakeholders, you will ensure architectural consistency, system reliability, and scalable delivery across initiatives. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strong influence over roadmap execution and cross-team alignment. You will also guide the adoption of modern engineering practices, including the use of AI tools to accelerate development and decision-making. This is a remote position within a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly distributed engineering organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the technical direction of the Checkout domain within the Electronics vertical, ensuring alignment between architecture, delivery, and business goals.
  • Design and evolve system architecture, defining scalable and resilient solutions across highly integrated and critical e-commerce flows.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of initiatives, from discovery through delivery, ensuring quality, stability, and performance.
  • Act as the main technical spokesperson for the Checkout area in discussions with product teams, business stakeholders, and partner squads.
  • Guide the engineering team through technical decisions, mentoring developers and promoting best practices in software design and architecture.
  • Identify technical gaps and define capability roadmaps to support the evolution and scalability of the domain.
  • Monitor technical and business KPIs, proposing continuous improvements to optimize the checkout journey and conversion performance.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams, managing dependencies and ensuring smooth delivery of complex initiatives.
  • Support the creation and evolution of technical agents and automation approaches aligned with platform needs.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and engineering efficiency.
  • Requirements:

    This role requires strong technical leadership experience in complex, high-scale environments, ideally within e-commerce or transactional systems. The ideal candidate combines deep engineering knowledge with the ability to guide teams, influence architecture, and align technology with business outcomes.

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Strong experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.
    • Experience with e-commerce systems, especially checkout, payments, antifraud, or conversion-focused flows (preferred).
    • Solid knowledge of React Native, SAP Commerce, and BFF architectures.
    • Experience working in highly integrated environments with multiple systems and high criticality.
    • Strong understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and distributed systems.
    • Ability to mentor teams, guide technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices.
    • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience structuring technical teams, capabilities, or operating models is a plus.
