We are seeking a skilled, experienced software engineer who is passionate about ensuring the continued success of our sensor products. The engineer will be the leading member of an agile team that develops and maintains network monitoring features in Corelight sensors. This role will work closely with other teams in Engineering, as well as Customer Success, Product, and our hardware and manufacturing partners to understand opportunities for making our product run more smoothly, reliably, and efficiently. Your Role and Responsibilities

• Drive the overall software architecture from design to implementation, to monitoring, and to testing. This includes conducting ongoing analysis of our architecture and designs, CI/CD practices, implementing automated test suites, monitoring tools and alerting mechanics.
• Work closely with junior engineers and mentor them with providing design and architecture guidance, code reviews, and help with writing performant code.
• Work with Product Manager and Scrum Master to refine epics, estimates, and conduct meetings with stakeholders to align expectations on a performant, predictable and repeatable release schedule.

• 8+ years of software development on Linux or other Unix-style platforms
• 8+ years experience programming in GoLang or C++
• 5+ Experience with CI/CD practices, pipelines, monitoring and alerting tools, and automated test suite frameworks such as Gitlab, cloud devops tools, etc
• 5+ years experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure
• 5+ Experience working with microservices
• 5+ Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience adopting & using Agile development methodologies
• Experience with multi-threaded applications in production environments
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
• Experience with common open source development workflows and tools (such as Git/GitHub/GitLab, make, CMake, etc)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Experience leading a software team in an agile environment
• Experience organizing and running technical meetings with other engineers and stakeholders
• Experience with Unix shell scripting (such as Bash)
• Experience working with Enterprise, Security, or Network products.
• Experience working with or on Zeek
• Experience with Packet Captures and analyzer tools
