Technical Operations Manager

We are looking for a Technical Operations Manager to found and grow a team dedicated to maintaining our critical applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience defining a vision and strategy for operational excellence in a rapid growth environment.

Our software-as-a-service platform provides bias-free, data-driven insights, enabling insurance companies to profitably run their business and expand their offerings to underserved people and markets.
How will you make an impact:
- Establish and staff the technical operations team to support a rapidly growing business
- Partner with DevOps team to deploy, maintain, and manage high-availability cloud application, database, and IT infrastructure according to best practices and industry standards
- Create tools for system health monitoring, SLA compliance, alerting/notification
- Define processes for incident management, escalation, and reporting
- Set up initial staff rotation to cover critical time periods
Skills needed to succeed:
- 5+ years of experience managing applications and IT infrastructure in AWS
- Ability to think long-term strategy while setting short-term goals
- Experience implementing effective monitoring and logging of SaaS cloud environments to ensure a secure and compliant infrastructure
- Effective communication across all functions and levels, including senior leadership, Engineering, DevOps, and Client Experience teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise, grow, and mentor team members
