Technical PMO Manager

Narvar is growing! We are hiring a (PMP Certified) Manager, PMO who has a passion for creating and driving adoption of standardized project methodology, technical project governance, resource and capacity planning, and execution of critical strategic initiatives that directly impact revenue delivery, time to value (TTV), and customer satisfaction.

As a Manager, PMO at Narvar, you will be joining a HIGHLY technical Professional Services team consisting of Technical Project Managers and Implementation Engineers who are passionate about our customers, solutions, and industry. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with prior career experience as an Implementation Engineer. This highly impactful role will be a key contributor in enhancing the implementation onboarding experience at Narvar.

Day-to-day

• Develops and implements related program and project standards, SLA’s, metrics, KPI’s, documentation, communication, training and adoption of all program/project management processes
• Oversees the management of technical implementation projects to ensure the technology and processes implemented will scale effectively and support the needs and growth of the organization
• Utilize a hands on approach to step in and manage some of Narvar’s enterprise projects through the implementation lifecycle
• Directly manage a team of Technical Project Managers and/or Program Managers and define success criteria/metrics within the project management practice
• Leads a weekly forecasting call and provides updates on weekly planned vs forecasted revenue
• Hosts training and formalized lessons learned/post mortems to ensure all learns are applied to future programs/projects
• Ensure all programs and technical projects are executed in accordance with standardized methodology, ensuring value delivery is efficient and aligned with organization policies and SLA’s
• Create effective resource allocation/capacity planning and staffing processes to support business and technology growth
• Utilize project plans, status reports, proactive risk and change management, budgeting tools and scope management to ensure projects are delivered on time, with high quality and within budget and scope
• Formulates project goals, identifies key stakeholders, and manages relationships by establishing a clear stakeholder communication plan (project reports, summaries, and steering committees)
• Establishes criteria for successful project delivery and ensure standards are met as it relates to all project phases including planning, design, configuration, validation, deployment and hypercare
• Maintains PMO documentation in a formalized structure aligned with organization policies
• Directly manages project activities through project plans and project management best practices, assigns tasks to cross functional matrixed resources, provides guidance to personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of the project and manages risk
• Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines for the management of all aspects of IT projects and project administration
• Effectively drive resolution of escalations with the appropriate customer and internal resources, partner cross-functionally with both internal and external business stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
• Help build a best-in-class international Professional Services team via documentation creation, process improvements, and training
• Achieve core KPI goals set in the areas of cycle time, revenue, CSAT, and productivity
• Maximize productivity by honing in on critical gaps and working with leadership to create processes and drive adoption in support of the team’s KPI’s

Must have requirements

• 7+ years experience leading a technical teams of Technical Project Managers and Implementation Engineers
• Technical acumen of frontend web technologies that include JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Technical acumen of SQL, JSON and API’s
• Prior career experience as an Implementation Engineer for SaaS products or prior career experience as a Software Engineer
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

• Ability to multi-task managing multiple competing priorities, assignments, projects in multiple stages of delivery
• Ability to develop and execute meeting timelines, connecting different stakeholders as needed and understanding the larger priorities
• Strong business acumen; understands key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and financial goals
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and assignments
• Extensive experience with various project management tools, concepts and methodologies
• Full knowledge of project, risk and operations management

A plus if you have

• Experience with retail, e-commerce platforms, order management systems, inventory management, WMS, TMS, supply chain, or logistics is a plus
