OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly creative, self-motivated Technical Product Manager (TPM) with a strong technical background to oversee a team of developers, reporting to the Director of Business Systems. The TPM should have experience in managing the technical aspects of products within the Business Systems Groups, including familiarity with ERP, MRP, and WMS systems, as well as integrations with third-party applications, particularly application programming interfaces (APIs). This role involves direct collaboration with the development team, including daily calls to provide direction, context, support, and feedback.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements.
  • Ability to work well with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Provide internal and customer training on how to use the product.
  • Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities.
  • Assess and address technical risks.
  • Understand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems.
  • Coordinate beta tests, build testing documentation and develop a regression testing process.
  • Use database queries to analyze performance indicators, evaluate experiments, etc.
  • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive knowledge of systems, processes, and software development.
  • Extensive knowledge of databases, data relationships, extracting and analyzing data.
  • Extensive knowledge of programming and programming concepts
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in:
    • ERP and Financial Systems
    • MRP Systems
    • Warehouse Management Systems
    • Ecommerce Systems
    • Complex system processes
    • Investigation and debugging technical issues
  • 4+ years of experience as a TPM with at least 2+ years of managing development teams.
  • Strong degree of technical aptitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Easily adapt to changing priorities.
  • Computer Science or similar Engineering degree is recommended but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000-$165,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
