At Availity Technical Product Owners play a critical role in product delivery, they are domain specialists who drive execution of the product vision with the agile development teams. Technical Product Owners ensure that the right solutions are built and that they are built the right way. Empowered to make decisions about the value, priority and detail of the product, the Technical Product Owner role is critical to the success of the Agile development process. Through thoughtful product design, planning and execution, the Technical Product Owner's ultimate objective is to assure timely product delivery that addresses key user needs in a differentiated way and delights users.

Location: Remote, US
Role qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in US Healthcare in Clearinghouse, RCM, EMR systems, Claims, and Patient Access.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in an Agile or product team as an Analyst or a Product Owner.
- Experienced in writing business requirements and detailed specifications for technical and business audiences.
- Knowledge of Healthcare EDI standards and formats.
- Understands HL7 fundamentals and or FHIR resources
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Understanding of the Healthcare industry and integrating healthcare systems using API's
- Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure while managing multiple competing projects and priorities.
- Strong desire and ability to learn new concepts.
- Aptitude for figuring out technical concepts and challenges and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to turn ambiguous and potentially conflicting requirements into clearly defined solutions.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills including strong business and technical writing.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow through.
- Knowledge of business process development and business process design/redesign.
- Ability to create fact-based business recommendations.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization and to develop relationships.
- Ability to facilitate meetings with appropriate team members and stakeholders.
To set yourself apart:
- Prior experience in a Healthcare clearinghouse product in a functional or technical role.
- Experience leading or implementing APIs or EDI transactions in a payor or provider setting.
- Prior cloud experience
What you will be doing:
- The Technical Product Owner will be responsible for supporting clearing house products and programs using product management practices.
- Collaborate with Product Manager and senior leadership to understand the product vision, strategy, and objectives.
- Defines and manages features backlog that supports business objectives.
- Understands product strategy to develop and support feature-level objectives and product roadmap.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to user stories, scenarios, personas with appropriate acceptance criteria and lagging indicators to track initiative success.
- Understands Enterprise Technology and PDLC processes to best align features and provide updates on sizing as needed.
- Partners in the creation of documentation to support release management, production, and operations support.
- Collaborates with multiple internal departments to drive the highest level of customer satisfaction.
