The Opportunity: The Technical Project Manager is part of Litera's R&D Operations team and will be responsible for running mission critical cross-functional projects, including post-deal R&D integration for acquisitions, and providing overall program support for the R&D organization.
A Day in the Life:
  • Supports the R&D team on various strategic projects, driving the planning and roll-out of projects from inception to completion
  • Owns program management activities for active R&D integrations, including planning, status tracking, reporting, and meeting facilitation
  • Drives key actions from our RCDOs (Rally Cry Defining Objectives aka OKRs), ensuring consistency and quality of data, program progress, and risks
  • Co-operates closely with cross-functional program managers, team-leaders, and R&D project teams
  • Implements and manages changes and interventions to achieve project goals
  • Provides regular reports on project progress, problems, and solutions
  • Manages risks and issues, escalating to leadership where necessary

Role progression:
Within 1 month, you will:
  • Complete onboarding process
  • Familiarize yourself with the business, R&D organization, and core systems
  • Understand Litera's H2 (Half 2) R&D RCDOs
  • Partner with R&D Operations leadership to understand key in flight and upcoming projects
  • Learn the integration approach and process, including the integration playbook, best practices, and key activities
  • At the rate we make acquisitions, you will also start to participate in a secondary role on an in-flight acquisition

Within 3 months, you will:
  • Have a good understanding of Litera standard software development process and tools
  • Help drive the R&D owned RCDOs and contribute to those with R&D collaboration
  • Lead, coordinate, and facilitate special projects and key meetings
  • Start owning project management role for active R&D integrations
  • Collaborate across teams (locally and internationally)

Within 6 months, you will:
  • Drive a subset of R&D owned RCDO initiatives and special projects
  • Project manage multiple M&A initiatives simultaneously at various stages in the R&D integration process
  • Build relationships with functional leads and serve as trusted project manager on key projects
  • Use data and metrics to identify areas improvement and drive positive change
  • Help ensure compliance with standard project processes and best practices
  • Identify potential integration/project pitfalls and implement mitigation plans

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years project/program management experience in a technology environment
  • Experienced in supporting integration projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
  • Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional and international teams
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills targeting various stakeholders and senior management
  • Ability to work independently on day-to-day initiatives with appropriate support from manager and teammates
  • High attention to detail with strong facilitation and organization skills
  • Strong desire to keep learning new things
  • You get things done
