The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location. The Technical Support Manager manages first line supervisors that are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a team of representatives that respond to inquiries of a technical or complex nature.
What You'll Work On
- Develops and monitors the application of operating systems including policies and procedures, operating structure, and information flow.
- Ensures the volume of work produced meets product/service standards and exceeds quality standards.
- May develop business plan for team/group operations including budget development.
- Approves personnel activities concerning hiring, training/development, and evaluation of staff performance.
- May build industry relations communicating technologies and operational concerns through industry networking.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management experience. Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings.
