Overview

The Technical Writer  is responsible for supporting BrainGu Labs staff in any and all administrative tasks related to research, development, and testing of evolutionary & revolutionary new products. The Lab Assistant role is 60% Technical Writer,  30% Administrative Assistant, and 10% Project Manager. They will work with the Lab Manager and Labs Engineers to facilitate the delivery of functional prototypes and the logistics necessary for testing with real-world mission users.

As a Technical Writer, you will assist with the creation of technical documentation necessary to transition solutions from prototype to production offerings in collaboration with the appropriate Value Stream and Product teams. Additionally, you will support the Labs staff with any necessary administrative tasks such as booking travel, expense reports, ordering equipment or supplies, and scheduling relevant resources. 

Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze information from Labs Engineers to translate into technical documentation
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to improve technical documentation
  • Manage logistics and order materials to prepare the Labs team for experiments and special projects
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and features to ensure documentation is accurate and relevant
  • Collaborate across the company to ensure prototype documentation is sufficient for a successful transition to production, ensure that there aren’t any post-transition issues, and ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
  • This position will require a TS/SCI Government Clearance, which requires US Citizenship
  • 2-4 years writing technical papers within the government space
  • Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role is a plus
  • Strong technical background and ability to understand complex technical concepts
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear and concise documentation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
