Technology Engineer

JM Family is looking for a Technology Engineer who will be accountable for designing, building, implementing, and delivering scalable cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for designing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure environment as well as be responsible for ongoing maintenance and advancement of the server environment through effective engineering and implementation of solutions, development of infrastructure services strategy to assist standard-based directory services, single sign-on solutions, server processing and storage consolidation, standard backup and restoration services, comprehensive security and patch protection capabilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installs and maintains cloud-based applications, systems, or associated infrastructures
• Ensure appropriate implementation of technology following all standards and best practices
• Adhere to and encourage all information security standards
• Architect, deploy, and administer computing services in both AWS and Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure providers
• Troubleshoot Converged Infrastructure Systems to resolve compute, storage, network, and other infrastructure problems
• Support and develop a cloud tagging governance model and resource naming standard
• Engineer and perform Capacity Management for Infrastructure Solutions and services
• Monitors system uptime and performance, troubleshooting and resolving errors
• Perform root cause analysis and provide guidance to technical leadership regarding future issue prevention
• Stays informed of emerging cloud technologies
• Responsible for problem management escalation and resolution
• Support of our VMWare environment, including software-defined data center (SDDC)
• Day-to-day management of Windows Active Directory services
• Assist the implementation and design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise (multi-domain environment), including directory and identity management solutions
• Support Active Directory authentication and LDAP configuration issues
• Design, configure, and support DNS Service and DNS resolution issues
• Design, configure, and support DHCP services
• Leverage Application Performance Monitoring tools to analyze systems performance and availability issues
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years of experience with cloud infrastructure
• 10 years of Active Directory experience
• Expert-level experience with server operating systems (Windows & Linux), facilitating high-level engineering, architectural design and support
• Experience monitoring and designing solutions for the cloud
• Expert-level experience with Windows Active Directory Services and Identity Management Solutions
• Deep experience with provisioning on the AWS or Azure cloud platform
• Deep-level experience with storage architecture
• Working knowledge of PowerShell and command-based activities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cloud foundational components such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) software-defined networking, security, governance, and compliance
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with both Windows and Linux systems
• Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Enterprise monitoring and logging experience
• Logical problem solver, data-driven, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
• Expert in Windows Active Directory services
