Job Summary:

The Training and Development Manager is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees through training initiatives. They assess company-wide developmental needs, design effective training programs, and arrange suitable training solutions. This position actively searches for creative methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize achievements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop training programs, objectives, and materials utilizing various media.
• Train, coach, and support managers, supervisors, and individuals involved in employee development efforts.
• Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
• Manage the company learning management system.
• Develop and maintain organizational communications to inform employees about training and development events and resources.
• Conduct follow-up studies to evaluate the results of completed training.
• Review existing training programs and suggest enhancements to improve engagement, learning, and retention, aligning with organizational and industry needs.
• Stay updated on new training methods, techniques, and industry-specific training requirements. Identify and address problems and opportunities where training can contribute to operational changes or industry developments.
• Develop unique training programs tailored to workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills. 
• Maintain records of training and development activities, including attendance, test results, assessments, and retraining requirements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development.  
• Thorough understanding of training processes. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or G Suite
• Proficient with learning management systems experience with Cornerstone Learning Management preferred 
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Ability to travel 25-35% of the time, including overnight travel as needed

• Three to five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
•  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
•  Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs.
• Industry specific experience a plus 

•    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
