Amplify's Training & Enablement organization is seeking a Training Manager, STEM to help develop, lead, and implement an internal training plan focused on ensuring customer-facing teams have the product knowledge of Amplify's Science and Math programs needed to optimize effectiveness and efficiency through the sales and implementation processes. This will be a pivotal role in the evolution of our new centralized training function. The Training Manager, STEM will report to the Associate Vice President, Training & Enablement and will collaborate with other team leaders to design an instructional framework utilizing best practices in adult learning. This role will also lead a team of Science and Math trainers to deliver compelling, high-quality training to all customer-facing teams in advance of back to school releases and on an ad hoc basis as needed.
We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for education, experience with adult learning best practices, especially in a largely remote environment, and can quickly become an expert on Amplify's STEM products. To be successful in this role, you should have solid experience organizing and facilitating trainings and designing educational curriculum. You will be working with subject matter experts across our organization to build a comprehensive education program for internal team members. In this position, you will create a strong culture of learning.
Responsibilities of the Training Manager, STEM:
  • Manage a team of Science and Math product trainers, focused on delivering high-quality training and executing on the live and asynchronous training and design plan
  • Develop and deliver initial and ongoing training for customer-facing team members in Sales, Customer Success, Customer Care & Support, Professional Development, and Enrollment & Licensing, focusing on Amplify's suite of literacy products
  • Partner with product leaders across the company, as well as with Training & Enablement leadership, to create a differentiated cross-department curriculum based on job roles and responsibilities
  • Build, maintain and organize educational materials
  • Develop in-person/remote, and self-paced training materials
  • Work cross-functionally with product teams to understand upcoming content offerings and feature releases and incorporate into training programs and assets
  • Promote positive engagement of our STEM products and drive product enablement
  • Coordinate, execute, refine, and measure the impact of internal training programs related to Amplify's STEM products
  • Play a key role in efforts to ensure that Amplify staff have the knowledge, skills, and resources to effectively interact with our district partners and achieve business goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications of the Training Manager, STEM:
  • BA/BS degree in Education, Instructional Design, Science, Math or related field
  • Experience with teaching complex educational products
  • Experience managing a team of training facilitators
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Ability to develop and maintain quality training materials for new and existing STEM products
  • Superior presentation and training delivery skills
  • Ability to work in a team focused fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong time and portfolio management skills

Preferred Qualifications of the Training Manager, STEM:
  • Experience working for a technology company
  • Background in the Education industry
  • Background in using Amplify's suite of Science and Math products
  • Experience with building curriculum and conducting training for online and remote learning

*Some travel required (about 10%)

The gross salary for this role is $100,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
